Step 1 - Create an Account at Clickbank

Go here to create a free account. Fill out the ClickBank signup form the one below is an example. By the way, if you're from Alabama and your email address is joe@aol.com it's a lot easier for you (Feeble Joke).

Ok, ugh, we all hate filling out forms, so just fill out the fields that are required, which are the asterisked ones (unless you are a masochist and love filling out forms !) I like the first bit best, "Where will we send your checks?" (that's cheques to-non americans) be sure to fill that bit out :)

Pretend you've read the Contract, nod your head wisely, tick the box and submit. You’ll receive an email to the email address you put in the form, with an 8-digit confirmation code you’ll need to enter to complete the signup process. This email will contain your account nickname (which you chose) and password (which is the same as the confirmation code you received).

Step 2 - Login to Clickbank

Now that your account is created, Log In . Once you log in, you’ll be taken to the Account Home page. This is the page where you’ll be able to see your earnings. Now, you can potter around to your hearts content and change your settings here, but all you want to do is sell my ebook and start earning the bucks right ? Thought so.

Boring bit here, if you're from the USA you will have to fill out your tax info. This will be a red flashing thing in your account settings. It's all greek to me, but you go for it. I know you can.

Interesting bit here, how often do you want to get paid ? Here's where to find out all these things once you are logged in:

When you first start out, you can only choose to be paid by check (cheque) Boo Hoo !. However, once you’ve received three (3) checks (cheques), and if you’re in Clickbanks list of supported countries, you can choose to be paid by direct deposit to your bank account (Hooray !).

Step 3 - Get a Link and start pasting it into everything !

Ok, Clickbank uses a link called a HOPLINK which is basically a link that someone clicks on in your blog, twitter page, facebook page, email, website or even on the side of a bus (well that would be fairly hard to click)

This is what you'll see:

Just enter your nickname and click "Create" (Tracking is some nerdy stuff, don't worry about it, you can deal with it later if you want)

Now, when you have clicked "create" this is what you'll see:

And you go OMG what's that? (Especially the amateurish spray paint job i did to cover the URL, I only did that just to make sure I'm not breaking Clickbank's rules in any fashion, not to confuse the hell out of you)

OK, If you are familiar with working with HTML then copy and paste the blue writing in the bottom box. I recommend you change the "Click Here!" to something more descriptive like "Click here to buy Andy's fantastic Wire Writing Secrets Ebook which will teach you how to make Money by making and selling Personalized Wire Jewelry " or something like that, you get the picture (hopefully).

You can copy and paste the top link (The black one) into Emails or in a Blog, or on a Website, or in Twitter, or on Facebook or wherever you like. Just write some enticing words before it so people will know where they are going, and are more likely to click on the link. Please don't tell them they are buying Viagra (snigger).

When someone clicks on that link they will go to my website selling my ebook, and when they do, if they buy it, then you get the money ! (well 30% of it anyway !) This is all automatic, and you will get an email telling you when someone has bought my ebook through your link and you have received money (you can set this up to happen in your settings in your account)
